Here is some of the latest (AKA month-old) videogame-related fanfiction that I've written.
Queen of Prosecutors is a Phoenix Wright story about Franziska von Karma wanting to win the King of Prosecutors award. It's basically the comic strip I drew for "Oh, the Humanity!" on The Miles Edgeworth Files, but in story form.
Soony Gets Fired Again is the story of how Sonny Joon was fired shortly before Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand for spreading conspiracy theories about aliens and eating too much chocolate.
And just to get revenge on Paul for not letting me post my totally awesome DragonBall Z fanfics ("not related to videogames", my fanny), let me link to a humorous Phoenix Wright story in which Phoenix is forced to take Pearl bra-shopping. Paul is legally obligated to read everything posted on the blog, and he is traumatized by any reference to Phoenix Wright characters becoming older, so this strikes me as a suitable revenge.
So here are two more Phoenix Wright fanfics that I've written:
A Special Gift comes straight from Paul Franzen, who wanted to see a story where Pearl (age 10) and Mia (now dead) do something highly inappropriate together. Paul, you are a sick, sick man.
Maya Writes a Fanfic, on the other hand, does NOT contain lesbian pedophilia. Instead, it contains Maya and Pearl writing a ridiculously bad fanfic about Edgeworth. And then they get in trouble when the story comes true.
Story Title: Writer\'s Block
Story Category: GameCola Fanfiction
Story Type: Angst
Sweat poured down Paul\'s forehead as he stared at his computer screen. His Word document for The Gates of Life was still blank.
\"Paul, are you still up?\"
Paul turned his head to see Lizo standing there with a worried look on her face.
\"It\'s past midnight. It\'s time to go to bed.\"
\"I have to finish the Gates of Life,\" Paul said.
\"You can do it tomorrow.\"
\"NO!\" Paul shouted, his frustration getting the better of him. \"I was supposed to have it done LAST WEEK! You know I have to write it early so Kate can get the pictures in on time!\"
Lizo frowned. She hated to see Paul like this. \"Well...don\'t stay up too late.\"
Paul turned back to his computer. The screen was still blank.
Curse his writer\'s block.
Writing The Gates of Life every other month was the hardest thing Paul ever had to do. Sure, some people said it looked like he wrote down whatever random crap popped into his head, like, flying polar bears or whatever, but nothing could be further from the truth. Paul poured his soul into every edition of Gates of Life. His SOUL. It was his baby, his child, his very meaning for existence.
And now...it was nothing.
\"WHAT\'S THE POINT?!\" Paul felt like screaming. All this work, all this frustration, all for a column that only three people read...the three people who worked on The Gates of Life.
Paul needed a distraction, so he opened up his GameCola email. No new mail, except...
Crap.
An email from Kate, Subject: The Gates of Life Pictures
Here it was. An angry email from Kate, yelling at him for not being done yet. Calling him an incompetent Head Editor, a horrible writer, a hopeless fool, and whatever nasty insults she could come up with, because Kate, unlike Paul, didn\'t have the Writer\'s Block to End All Writer\'s Block.
His hand trembling, Paul clicked the mouse and opened the email.
Hey Paul, here are the pictures for this month\'s Gates of Life! Matt said he\'ll send you the finalized story tomorrow. -Kate
Paul blinked. What? But it was May! What was Kate thinking?
Oh...that\'s right. Even though it was May, he was writing for the June issue. So it WAS Matt\'s month! Paul didn\'t have to write anything! The Gates of Life would continue!
Paul put his head down on the keyboard and cried for a long, long time.
I'm not sure how many people are interested in this, but I finally finished my long Phoenix Wright fanfic called Feelings Turnabout. What happened is that I was playing the last Phoenix Wright game, and I noticed Iris makes a throwaway comment about Maya being Phoenix's girlfriend.
I could see that this was a potentially hilarious situation--one where everyone thinks Phoenix and Maya are secretly dating. So I wrote a short story about it, labelled it as an alternate ending to the game, and listed the story as complete.
But then the fans of a Phoenix/Maya relationship forced me to continue the story, until eventually it become a 50+ page romantic epic. But I threw in a lot of funny stuff, like Pearl becoming mini-Franziska, just to keep things interesting. So if you're interested in that sort of thing, make sure to check it out.
If you're not interested in that, you might want to check out my short story about Edgeworth and Franziska writing their wedding invitations, or the story about Paul's totally incorrect theory that Mia was planning on setting Phoenix up with Maya in Case 2. Both of those stories are ideas that were discussed in GameCola podcasts, if you really want to go back and check.
When Paddle A got Ball back, he realized that it would take more than one strongly served Ball to get Paddle B to understand his meaning. So, with a silent grunt, he sent Ball reeling towards his friend across the screen.
Paddle B started to get excited at the hard impact of Ball against his front. In his excitement, he sent Ball back with undue force, causing Paddle A to moan internally. For many minutes, Paddle A and Paddle B continued to excite each other by throwing Ball back and forth.
Finally, after too many minutes attacking both Paddles, Ball grew tired of being unfulfilled. He gathered all of his slight gravitational force and stopped himself mid-flight. Paddle A and Paddle B both stared at Ball’s amazing feat, wondering how he managed to do it, and why he had stopped in the first place.
In another display of unknown talents, Ball spoke. “Paddles A and B, I grow weary of this back and forth game that we all play. I know not why you deign to throw me at each other so hard, but I no longer wish to take part. I am merely a pawn in this game made up by the creator, but even a pawn has feelings. Even a mere pawn has needs, urges. I wish to be fulfilled!”
Paddle A was shocked into silence. Paddle B looked at Ball and was enlightened. Even their little friend Ball got horny.
Welcome to Fanfiction Roundup, where I wade through the bogs of bad fanfiction so you don't have to! Today, I've got five Phoenix Wright stories for you all to enjoy!
1. Stalked
A short story about Phoenix Wright being stalked by Franziska Von Karma. Phoenix freaks out when she appears, which makes it funny. Personally, I've been accused of being a stalker on multiple occasions, so I can identify with both characters in this story.
2. Legal_Antics
Larry Butz and Phoenix hassle Edgeworth about his romantic life. I like this one because it made me think. Specifically, it made me think that that Franziska Von Karma is totally into S&M. After all, she DOES carry a whip around with her everywhere.
This story is a decent parody of a Phoenix Wright trial, with the Judge being overeager to side with the prosecution for no good reason. And we have Phoenix using his typical convoluted logic, like saying the client has a twin brother. In France. Edgeworth and Phoenix get into typical pointless bickering, and the judge tells them to shut up. Good stuff.
The story begins and ends with some slash, which for those of you who don't speak fanfiction, means that Phoenix Wright is gay and attracted to Edgeworth. He keeps a stalker journal of Edgeworth in this story, and Edgeworth, unlike certain girls I could name, does not get completely freaked out.
A story where Pearl Fey walks in on Phoenix Wright and Mia having sex. Yes, Mia's dead, but thanks to the Kurain Channeling Technique, that doesn't mean she can't get any action.
A "fluff" piece, which is fanfiction for "overly cute/sentimental". This one is about the picture at the end of Trials and Tribulations, the one with Baby Maya crying and Little Girl Mia fixing the broken Mystic Ami urn. It was a super-cute picture, so it requires a super-cute backstory.
